Advice from Country Financial

When you plan and build that new kitchen, bathroom, or outdoor living space you have been dreaming about, don’t forget to update your homeowners insurance. Additions to your home can significantly affect the value and the cost to replace your home if the worst should happen.

It is a good idea to review your insurance coverage annually with your agent. It provides a time to note any significant changes to your property and to ask questions about your coverage. It is always best to understand your coverage before you have a claim.

Your agent is there to help protect what you have but he needs your help, let him know when you make significant changes. Most insurance agents have a valuation program with local material and labor costs built in that can provide a rebuild cost for your home.
